Wake up! Magnets
Lasercut 3"x3" Acrylic Sheet
(Award: Regional Scholastic Gold)
These symbols represent the alphabet of my dream language. Dreams, rich in imagery and metaphor, defy easy translation into spoken or written words, as language often falls short of capturing their essence accurately. To bridge this gap, I crafted these symbols, cutting them from acrylic sheets with a laser and affixing magnets to their backs. This allows them to be placed on whiteboards, where they can be arranged and rearranged to narrate stories. Through this method, I explore the nature of subconscious thoughts and dreams, examining whether they emerge from a sequence of logical processes, are systematic reactions to sensory stimuli, or represent images attempting to understand themselves.
